🍞 Ingredients:

  • 300g (2 cups) Bread flour
  • 4g (1/2 tablespoon) Instant yeast
  • 25g (2 tablespoons) Sugar
  • 1 egg (about 50g)
  • 145g (0.6 cup) Milk
  • 3g (1/2 teaspoon) Salt
  • 20g (1.4 tablespoons) Unsalted butter
  • 90g (6 tablespoons) Additional unsalted butter for the inner layer

  1. Mix flour, yeast, sugar, egg, milk, salt and 20g of butter in a bowl. Knead until you obtain a smooth consistency.
  2. Roll out the dough into a circle approximately 40cm in diameter.
  3. Divide the additional butter into 9 parts of 11g each. Place them on the rolled out dough.
  4. Fold the dough over the butter, creating layers. Cut into 9 parts (about 60g each) and shape into a croissant.
  5. Place in the oven at 200°C for 10 minutes, then at 180°C for 6 minutes.
