Eggless and Delicious Bread with Chocolate Jam
Ingredients:
- 140 ml warm milk
- 40 grams sugar
- 4 grams instant yeast
- 250 grams bread flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 20 grams butter
- Sesame seeds
- Chocolate jam
Instructions:
Activate the Yeast:
- In a mixing bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and instant yeast. Stir gently and let it sit for about 5-7 minutes until it becomes frothy.
Prepare the Dough:
- To the yeast mixture, add bread flour and salt. Mix until it forms a shaggy dough.
- Add softened butter to the dough and knead it well until smooth and elastic. You can use a stand mixer or knead by hand for around 8-10 minutes.
First Rise:
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth or plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1-1.5 hours, or until doubled in size.
Shaping and Second Rise:
- After the dough has risen, gently punch it down to release the air bubbles. Shape it into a loaf or desired bread shapes.
- Place the shaped dough onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Cover it again and let it rise for another 30-45 minutes.
Preheat and Bake:
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Once the dough has risen again, brush the top with a little milk and sprinkle sesame seeds if desired.
- Bake the bread in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until it turns golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
Final Touch:
- Once baked, remove the bread from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack.
- Once cooled, slice the bread and spread chocolate jam generously on each slice.
