TIPS FOR MAKING THE BEST AIR FRYER FRIED CHICKEN
- Use parchment paper to line the air fryer basket for optimal results. I prefer to use the dotted rounds of parchment paper.
- Your chicken will taste better the longer it marinates. It can marinade for up to a whole night. However, it will still taste great even if you can only marinate it for fifteen minutes.
- It is ideal to cook the sauce right before serving, but it can be combined ahead of time. If you boil the sauce in advance and then chill it, the cornstarch in it may become overly thick.
- In any case, wait to combine the chicken and sauce until you’re ready to eat. The hot chicken should ideally be taken straight out of the air fryer, dipped instantly into the hot sauce, stirred to coat, and then served. The chicken coating maintains its irresistible crunch in this way.
covered in egg and cornstarch, tender chicken pieces are deep-fried until crispy and covered in a savory-sweet, sticky sauce that tastes so excellent I could eat it with a spoon. To make the ideal, simple dinner, toss in a bowl of sticky white rice and some steamed veggies.

INSTRUCTIONS For Crispy AirFryer Sesame Chicken Recipe
- Put parchment paper inside the air fryer basket (see note).
- Mix the chicken, ginger, garlic, vinegar, soy sauce, salt, and pepper in a medium-sized bowl. Toss to thoroughly coat.
- Let the chicken marinate for about 20 minutes, or overnight if you’d like (if marinating longer than that, refrigerate).
- Beat the eggs in a small bowl.
- Transfer the cornstarch to a different small bowl.
- After removing the chicken from the marinade and allowing any excess to drip into the bowl, combine it with the beaten eggs in the bowl. Toss in the coat.
- One by one, take out the chicken pieces from the eggs, allowing the extra egg to drain out. You’ll probably need to cook the chicken in two batches. Place the chicken pieces in the cornstarch and toss to coat them thoroughly. Then, arrange them in an air fryer in a single layer.
- Brush or spray the chicken with a little cooking oil after coating and arranging it all in the air fryer (you’ll probably need to do this in two batches).
- For 8 to 10 minutes, at 400ºF, air fried the chicken until the tops of the pieces are golden brown. After flipping the chicken pieces over and giving them another quick spray or brushing of oil, cook for Seven more minutes at 400ºF.
- Prepare the sauce while the chicken is cooking. Combine the soy sauce, vinegar, brown sugar, cornstarch, water, and sesame oil in a small bowl.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a big skillet over high heat.Stir in the garlic and simmer for about one minute. After adding the sauce mixture, turn the heat down to medium and stir-fry for a few minutes, or until the sauce thickens.
- Toss in the air-fried chicken pieces and sauce in the pan. After taking the pan off of the burner, thoroughly coat the chicken pieces with the sauce.
- After transferring to a serving tray, top with sesame seeds and serve right away.
