Delicate Shortbread with Jam Recipe
Ingredients:
- 180g butter
- 1 egg
- 130g sugar
- A pinch of salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1.5g vanillin
- 310g flour
- 350g jam/jelly
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine 180g of butter (at room temperature) and 130g of sugar. Mix until creamy.
- Add a pinch of salt, 1 tsp of baking powder, and 1.5g of vanillin to the butter-sugar mixture. Mix well.
- Beat in 1 egg until fully incorporated.
- Gradually add 310g of flour to the mixture. Mix until the dough comes together and forms a ball.

- Roll out the second part of the dough into a similar-sized layer and place it on top of the jam-covered layer. You can create a lattice or decorative pattern with the top layer if desired.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (356°F) for about 30-35 minutes or until the shortbread turns golden brown.
